President Muhammadu Buhari vehemently kicked against the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the 2015 general election.
The commission had identified the security situation in the country for the postponement, especially the occupation of 14 local governments in the North East by Boko Haram.
However, Buhari, who was incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan’s main challenger at the time, queried the decision to postpone elections because of unrest in 14 LGAs in a country of 774.
