Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 30, has hinted at rounding off his football career in the next “five or ten years”, when he will be 35 or 40 years.
The Portugal international was reacting to a question on whether he will stay put in the Spanish capital or move his trade elsewhere in the nearest future.
In a subtle reference to rumours linking him to French giant, Paris Saint Germain, Ronaldo said he preferred life in Madrid to Paris.
According to him, “I like Madrid more than Paris, but maybe one day things will change. I might get a girlfriend in Paris and spend more time there.”
He added: “I’ve got family working in France, but I’m not planning to live in Paris. It’s a beautiful city, I’ve been there a few times, but it doesn’t hit the spot for me.”
Also, the FIFA Ballon D’Or current holder said he isn’t planning to retire from football just yet, noting that: “I want my brand to keep growing because I know that my football career will be over in five or ten years. You have a different life after that.”
