Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest airports is currently flooded due to the high amount of rainfall in the city.
Many airlines such as Emirates, Fly Dubai have been forced to delay and cancel flights
Emirates has issued a statement to address flight delays
“Heavy rainfall has caused disruptions to several flights at @DXB today. Customers are requested to check their flight status for the latest flight information. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Customers affected by flight cancellations are automatically rebooked on the next available flight. Customers are being contacted & sent their updated booking to the email address registered with Emirates at the time of booking.

We request passengers travelling from @DXB today to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight departs.”
Dubai Airport has also advised intending travellers to get to the airport using Dubai Metro.
“Advisory: Due to heavy rainfall, DXB is experiencing flight disruption & roads are congested. We advise customers to allow significant extra time to get to the airport and use Dubai Metro. Customers should check their flight status with their airline.
