The reports allege that Hajia Aisha Buhari was flown out  to the United Arab Emirates during the Muslim Sallah holiday weekend because of a persistent neck pain.

Daily Trust reported that the ailment allegedly started after the first lady paid a condolence visit to the wife of late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, who died of coronavirus complications, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi at her Ikoyi residence in Lagos. She was said to have gone into isolation for 14 days when she returned from the condolence visit but the neck pain which developed shortly after refused to subside.

It was gathered that the first lady observed Eid prayers with her family on July 31, before she travelled abroad.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari is said to be in stable condition in a Dubai hospital although contacts at the Presidential Villa have neither confirmed nor denied the report.

There is still an official ban on international flights in Nigeria as parts of coronavirus lockdown measures which the Federal Government just extended for another four weeks.
