The track was released on July 21, 2021, and has since amassed over a million certification units. The track was platinum certified on February 16, 2023.
Before now, Peru had already been gold certified on April 14, 2022. The track was a wide international success, leading to a remix with Ed Sheeran.
Peru is that track that skyrocketed Fireboy to an international level and exposed him to an even larger audience across the globe.
