A fire outbreak inside the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Alausa gutted four offices in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
There has been no official confirmation of the cause of the fire and extent of the destruction wreaked as at the time of filing this report.
However men of the Lagos State Fire Service who were called to the scene of the fire were said to have responded in a quick fashion, causing the fire to be promptly put out before it could cause further damage.
Investigations show that the fire started from one of the offices in the four-storey edifice before spilling over to the other parts of the building.
It will be recalled that fire gutted a shopping plaza on Broad Street barely a week ago and wiped out a family of six in Lawanson area of Surulere earlier in the month.
