Super Falcons attacking midfielder, Asisat Oshoala is full of confidence that Nigeria will go far in the 2015 FIFA Women World Cup, despite being pitched against strong opponents.
The Falcons are in group D with USA, Sweden and Australia and on paper the African champions are the weakest in the pairing.
But Oshoala said the Falcons are not intimidated, adding that their aim is to win every match like they did at the African Women Championship last year in Namibia.
“We have a few weeks to prepare and focus on the task at hand.”
But our aim is to aim is to go there and get the trophy,”said the Liverpool Ladies player.
The Falcons will open their account with Sweden on June in Vancouver. Oshola who was in the team that came runners up in the 2014 FIFA Under-20 women world also in Canada, stated that she was not under any pressure to repeat her feat.
“Definitely, it is a different ball game but what I will say is that I will go to Canada again and give my best and prove that I am a good player and that what happened in 2014 was not a fluke. I have to make sure I give the fans a lot of reason to smile in Nigeria.”
