EA has released a FIFA 14 FUT trailer detailing some of the new additions, and here it is…
The new incarnation of FIFA will amp up the hugely popular FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) mode, and will incorporate a host of new features, along with plenty of additions requested by fans.
The new chemistry style will let budding managers change how their players behave on the pitch, including such styles as powerhouse, which lets strikers hold the ball better against opposing players, and sniper, which improves both dribbling and shooting skills. There are a host of varied styles that can be applied to the whole squad, granting stat boosts to each position on the field. This means you can further tailor your squad’s effectiveness, boosting your strikers’ shooting, whilst at the same time giving your defenders better tackling abilities and more stamina to chase down incoming runs.
Fan-requested additions include an easier method of finding new players, including a name search, and the ability to quickly go to the transfer market from the squad management screen.
Squad customisation is now dosed with some manual magic, and you’ll be able to assign squad numbers to your players as you see fit, and can dictate which players will take free kicks and so on. FUT 14 will also see single online matches included, and the season count has also been extended to 10, instead of the previous five.
When it comes to cross-platform functionality, FIFA will share such things as club items, players, coins, divisions and FUT trophies between current and next gen, and a one time only transfer of FIFA Points will be offered to players moving from 360 and PS3 to Xbox One and PS4.
FIFA 14 will be released in the US on September 24 and in Europe on September 27 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version following on December 31 (as listed on Amazon).
