Th leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has claimed that the federal government was responsible for the death of his mother, Sally.
Kanu, who announced the mother’s death on Sunday, said she died August 30, 2019 in Germany after doctors battled unsuccessfully over a protracted illness she suffered.
The IPOB attributed the demise of his mother to soldiers’ invasion of his Umuahia, Abia State residence on September 2017.
He said: “Watching her children being hunted and killed by the federal government was the cause of her illness, and today we have lost her.
“I had said before that I was ready to sacrifice anything for Biafra, and today I have sacrificed my mum.
“We will not be deterred, we shall continue to fight for the freedom of our people.”
