Senator Shehu Sani has urged the Federal Government to issue travel advisories to Nigerians faced with danger abroad like other nations do for their citizens resident in Nigeria.
Sani, who represented Kaduna Central senatorial district in the 8th Senate, stated this in a series of tweets on Monday.
The Herald recalls that the United Kingdom recently warned its citizens in Nigeria to exercise caution while visiting 21 states in the country.
Reacting, the senator said that the Federal Government must issue travel advisories to warns its citizens abroad whenever there is crisis in their host countries.
Sani said, “We should equally learn to give travel advisory warning to our own citizens whenever there is crisis in other countries, rather than get angry whenever other countries warn their citizens against coming to our country in times of crisis or seeming danger.”
