Zamfara State Governor Alhaji Abdul’Aziz Yari has said that the Federal authorities owed his administration the sum of N33 billion which he had used for the reconstruction of some federal roads in the state.
However, according to the Minister of State for Finance, Amb. Bashir Yuguda, Yari did not follow due process.
Yari debunked the claims maintaining that his administration had follow due process before embarking on the reconstruction of federal roads in the state.
According to him, the state government had complied with all necessary procedure with the federal authorities, before embarking on the reconstruction of the Gusau-Kaura Namoda–Zurmi – Gidan Jaja, and that of Mayanchi-Anka-Daki Takwas –Gummi road.
