The Federal Government has commenced the process of restoring civil security agencies in the insurgency liberated areas.
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Wakama Sotonye, made this known on Wednesday in Yola while briefing newsmen.
Sotonye said that President Muhammadu Buhari had already given a directive accompanied with adequate logistics to relevant agencies for necessary deployment.
The DIG, who held a closed door meeting with stakeholders including religious and traditional rulers, said that the police would work hand in hand with other security agencies in restoring civil authorities in the affected areas.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that seven local government areas are affected by the insurgency in Adamawa.
The affected local governments are Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Gombi, Michika, Madagali and Hong.
