Ex Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo’s contract with Turkish Champions Fernebahce has been terminated with immediate effect. The 3-year contract which was supposed to expire later this year was ceased following a mutual agreement from between Yobo and The Canaries.
He (Yobo) was not registered by Fernebahce to play in the Turkish Championship as a result of the foreign quota rule in the Super Lig.
The International Football Retiree had threatened to report Fernebahce to FIFA after the club who left him out of their plans for the new season was not willing to let him leave Turkey.
Fernebahce reportedly fixed the 33-year-old defender’s transfer fee at 1.5 million Euros which restrained clubs that were interested in acquiring the Nigerian Skipper.
