Spanish International striker Fernando Torres is determined to revamp his career as he starts a new-era with Serie A side AC Milan.
The arrival of Diego Costa to Stamford Bridge prompted the exit of the striker, he wasn’t comfortable as a 3rd choice striker in Jose
Mourinho’s squad.
The Spaniard terminated a £50 million British record transfer deal with Chelsea when he completed a 2 year loan move to Ac Milan.
Torres on speaking about Chelsea’s exit:
“I want to thank my two English clubs, Liverpool for bringing me to the Premier League & Chelsea for the trophies I won.”
His transfer to Chelsea was successful following the goal scoring record he established at Liverpool, but unfortunately he had a rather disappointing time playing for the Blues as he only managed to score 20 goals in 110 Premier League appearances .
The 30-year-old believes his transfer to Ac Milan will yield successful results towards his reformation.
He said, “After all these years, however, I needed a change, something that would give me the desire to play, to feel important.”
“AC Milan is all I needed, a great club with great fans where I will try to shine and come back myself,” he added.
