Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua has come under fire from some feminists on Twitter after some of his comments in an interview were deemed to be misogynistic in nature.
The Nigerian born Boxer during an interview said that he treats his son differently from his niece. According to him, he’s a little more lenient with his son as he expects him to be a man’s man and one of the boys whereas his niece is going to become someone’s wife in future and therefore should be appropriately groomed.
The interview was with GQ magazine and was published in March 2017. When asked if he considers himself a strict parent, he said; ‘I don’t think I’m that strict with Joseph, I don’t know why,’ he said.’But with my niece I’m strict. I think it is because she is older, but also he’s a boy – he’s going to be a man’s man, he’ll want to spread his wings, be a Jack-the-lad, build his character.’ He added: ‘But I am sure there are things I will be strict about. But with my niece, there is none of that Jack-the-lad nonsense for her!’ ‘My view is you have to be a good woman, respectful, one day you will be someone’s wife, you have to learn family morals… what it is to be a good woman.’

Anthony Joshua that’s a successful black man…obviously has met a lot of women throwing themselves at him…a lot of women he never wants his niece to be like but Tweminists are out here being triggered…again
Sigh

How Anthony Joshua can look at his niece, not as a child but as someone who is going to be a "wife" is really bemusing. Girls are hardly ever allowed to be. This isn't just about him, it's about everyone who shares this shitty, reductive view of little girls.

Anthony Joshua has gone and opened his mouth, he should have just closed it 😂😩 Nigerian man, with all his exposure, in 2018, confidently saying that he would raise his son to be whoever he wants to be but his niece to be somebody’s wife pic.twitter.com/0jgzNTTLUz

The funniest thing about this is that Anthony Joshua got his high school girlfriend pregnant, refuses to marry or live with her or even actively raise their son together, but somehow he finds time to raise another person’s daughter.

Anthony Joshua flopped that interview.
Or maybe he didn’t.
A great interview should give the reader a better insight into who you are.
I definitely have a better insight.
Sad ting.
