A fake Twitter account allegedly owned by billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, is making promises to Nigerians only.
According to a tweet from the impersonator’s handle @reaIFemiOtedola on Sunday, the first five thousand people to retweet the tweet would get N50,000 each.
The give-away is purportedly a goodwill gesture to mark the Forte Oil Chairman’s 56th birthday and it is said to be endorsed by his friend and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.

In yet another tweet, Otedola’s first daughter, Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy, also allegedly promised to give out N50,000 each to the 1,000 people to retweet the tweet below.

Although the Twitter handle looks similar to that of the real Otedola, it is not; the number one difference being that the real Otedola’s profile is verified by Twitter itself, which can be identified by the blue tick beside the name.
Below is a tweet from the real Otedola’s Twitter handle in May:
Please beware of impersonators that may try to leverage on my profile. My handle is @realFemiOtedola using the small letter for "L" in real. I just blocked an impersonator that used the capital letter for "i" in real which, when put side by side, look identical. Please beware.
