A former Aviation Minister in the country, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the appointment of his ex-wife, Saratu Atta by the Ghanaian president-elect.
Speaking on the move by the Ghanaian president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, Fani-Kayode in a chat with Premium Times said: “I am very happy for her.”
Recall that 53-year-old Saratu Atta was appointed on Wednesday as a personal assistant to serve in the president-elect’s government which is scheduled to be sworn into office on Saturday.
Femi Fani-Kayode added in the Thursday afternoon chat “She certainly deserves it because she’s been working with Akufo-Addo for so long and I am sure she will do a great job.
“Akufo-Addo is my good friend and a great man. I think that’s why they were able to remain focused after narrowly missing the Ghanaian presidency in 2008 and 2012.”
Femi Fani-Kayode and Ms. Atta got married in 1987 and bore a child before both parties in 1989 parted ways.
