Female APC Senator Makes Shocking Claims Against PDP

2 Min Read

The senator representing Adamawa North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Binta Masi Garba, has explained how the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) offered more than N300 million for her to disorganise the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa.

The APC senator said that this occurred in the buildup to the 2015 general elections when she was State Chairman of the APC.

According to her, she was offered the money to prevent Bindow Jibrilla, who is now governor of the state, from emerging as the APC candidate.

Garba said she was also told to leave the APC.

However, she said she refused the offer and the APC swept the governorship and three senatorial seats in the state.

Speaking in the buildup to the APC gubernatorial primaries in the state, she urged voters to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Jibrilla and herself.

Garba said, “When I was chairman of the APC in the state, the PDP approached me to ditch the party and the candidate of the party then (Jibrilla), who later became governor . They said he (Jibrilla) would not go anywhere and that I should leave the APC and work for the PDP and offered me not N100 m, not even N200m nor even N300m but far more than that.

“But I rejected the money and the offer and I told them that if I could not be bought during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, so I did not see how anybody would buy my conscience.”

Garba, who is battling strong challenge from seven male aspirants for her seat, said that she remains undeterred in her quest to provide qualitative stewardship to the people of Adamawa North.
