Ms. Muhibat Taiwo Abdulsalam, the Consumer Education Department head, Federal Competitive Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Katsina Branch, is currently in police custody for allegedly killing her boss, Julius Haruna, in his office.
Quoting an anonymous source, Daily Post reports that Haruna, the Northwest Zonal Coordinator of FCCPC was found dead in his office after an altercation he had with Abdulsalam over money earlier in the day.
She reportedly lodged a sexual harassment complaint against 57-year-old Haruna at the Katsina GRA Police Station, without her colleagues’ knowledge, shortly after.
Abdulsalam was said to have returned to the office in the Modoji Area accompanied by two policemen to invite her boss for questioning over the sexual harassment allegation.

However, the team met Haruna’s lifeless body lying on the floor, with his clothes torn and bruises over his upper body.
According to the report, Haruna had on several occasions reported Abdulsalam to the head office for insubordination.
Another source said that the embattled lady accused her late boss and the office accountant of sexual harassment, and denied knowing about his death before heading to the police station to lodge a complaint.
Daily Post quoted unnamed source as saying that when Abdulsalam returned to the office with the police officers, she looked unruffled and without bruises unlike the deceased who assaulted her.
An elder brother of the deceased, Aegidius Haruna said, “From the statement given and what I heard, they quarrelled over money approved for her in the office because she needed extra which he refused to oblige. I think that is how the problem started.
“We are shocked by his death. Our family members sent me here to seek justice for his death.”
He disclosed that Abdulsalam has been detained at the GRA Police Station but would soon be transferred to the State CID for further investigation.
