The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has spoken on Buhari’s second term bid stating that it was one that would never come to fruition
The Ekiti state governor has always been a vocal critic of the Buhari administration, constantly picking holes in policies and governance.
Speaking to newsmen, Fayose was of the opinion that Buhari is too old to rule the land and that Nigerians don’t need him in power come 2019.
“That ambition is dead on arrival. We don’t need grandpa as President anymore, Bugerua does not deserve a Buhari as President in 2019. Buhari is too old and tired. When people don’t know when to take their leave and say bye, Nigerians will show them the exit door,” said Fayose in a statement.
He added that as far as he was concerned, the President had failed ‘on all fronts’ and therefore is unfit to lead the nation.
“He has failed in the economic front and he has not done well in terms of security.” he said.
Recall that President Buhari revealed his intentions to run for a second term yesterday during the All Progressives Congress National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
After this, he jetted off to the United Kingdom where he is to meet with UK’s Prime Minister, Theresa May.
