The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has expressed shock at the level of killings of innocent Nigerians by armed bandits in Zamfara state.
Fayose, a staunch critic of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, charged the administration under President Muhammadu Buhari to stop the killings.
The governor made this known in a post on his verified Twitter account on Saturday.
Fayose was reacting to the recent killing of 30 persons in Zamfara which caused the State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, to order security agents to shoot dead anyone caught carrying arms in the state.
The recent killing occurred in Bawan Daji village of Anka local government area.
He said, “So much killings going on in Zamfara State by armed bandits and it is time for us to be united in calling on President Buhari to stop the killings now. Mr President should know that his primary responsibility is to secure the lives of Nigerians and he is failing in that regard.”
