A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, Mr Olusegun Osinkolu has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore Governor Ayodele Fayose’s outburst on the appointment of Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In a statement, Osinkolu insisted that Fayose lacks the moral justification to condemn anyone.
He said ‘’Fayose lacks the moral justification to condemn President Buhari of being sectional, in view of alleged lopsided appointments that had happened in the state under his watch.”
He further explained that Fayose’s verbal attack on the President is aimed at actualising his Vice Presidential ambition in 2019.
Last week, Fayose accused President Buhari of being sectional because he appointed a Northerner from Bauchi State to succeed Prof. Attahiru Jega from Kebbi State.
