Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has come under heavy attack following his statement linking the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, to the Jefferson-Halliburton bribery scandal.
Yusuf Ali (Raba Gardama), the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna state, spoke to the newsmen on Friday, June 24, in Abuja.
He alleged that Fayose was trying to divert attention from the allegation of corruption leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The APC chieftain called on the governor to clear himself from the alleged arms deal fraud and stop spreading falsehood about Mrs Buhari.
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state had recently alleged that the Aisha Buhari involved in the Halliburton scandal is President Buhari’s wife.
The presidency has since debunked the allegations.
