The Minister of Power and infrastructure, Babatunde Fashola, has been described as a disappointment for violating a legal judgement preventing the hike in electricity tariff.
Ogun state chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Akeem Ambali, speaking on Fashola’s move termed it “a disappointment and unexpected from a man of law”.
The labour leader wondered “why a Minister in the calibre of Mr. Fashola will not obey the law” adding “We are disappointed by his action.”
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other affiliate unions are agitating against the recent increase in electricity tariff today.
