The news about David Cameron’s description of Nigeria spread like wild fire and had the internet abuzz.
The British PM was caught on camera telling Queen Elizabeth that leaders of some “fantastically corrupt” are visiting United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, President Buhari has revealed that he does not want an apology from Cameron, but a return of the assets that were taken out of his country and sent to the UK.
However, Buhari’s special adviser on foreign affairs and diaspora, Abike Dabiri seems to be in agreement with Cameron’s description of Nigeria as a ”fantastically corrupt” country.
In a series of tweet from her Twitter handle, Dabiri said Nigeria is indeed a very corrupt nation and Cameron’s statement was not wrong but, Buhari would tackle the corruption that has eaten deep into the country.
She said Buhari inherited a very corrupt country, while calling on the Western world not to condone those looting Nigeria.
