Fans of Nigeria’s famous hip-hop star and singer, Seyi Shay, have congratulated the star on her new endorsement deal with the Middle Eastern telecommunications company, Samsson Group.
The star was made the official brand ambassador at the Samsson headquarters in Lagos, on Wednesday and has also been signed as the official celebrity for the ‘Cloud 9 Celebrity Hangout’ which is a service provided by Samsson for Etisalat.
The star is expected to hang out with one fan every month as the lucky fan will be selected after answering a series of questions about the star correctly.
He or she will also hang out with her for 30 minutes wherever she is on a chosen day.
The fan will be allowed to take pictures with Seyi Shay and will be presented with a special gift after the 30-minute duration.
Chibuzor Mbanefo, a fashion designer, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that he was proud of the star as she had come a long way as an entrepreneur and an exceptional music artist who had a good reputation.
“I am happy and proud of Seyi because she is one of those female artists who didn’t let her fame get into her head.
“She has really worked hard and has impressed us with her good music so, I can say she has left a good impression in the industry,” Mbanefo said.
James Akindele, an Abuja-based entrepreneur, told NAN that he was happy for the star as she had become one of the exemplary female stars the Nigerian music industry had to offer.
Akindele also said that the artist’s lifestyle was definitely something that young aspiring musicians could emulate.
“Seyi is a young lady I respect because she is hardly ever in the media for negative things.
“Even her social media pages are encouraging because she posts reasonable things unlike the unrealistic things other celebrities talk about and post on.
“I will advice young female Nigerians to focus on whatever they do and keep their head down because fast money doesn’t pay in the long run and nothing is more rewarding than a good name,” Akindele said.
Tolu Taiwo told NAN that the star had made Nigerians proud and that he wished her the best in her future endeavours.
“I have three daughters and I am always happy when I hear that hard working Nigerian women are being rewarded in one way or the another because I can then show my daughters that as a woman, anything is possible and being a woman is not a weakness,” he said
“I am happy for the young lady and wish her the best in her future endeavours,” Taiwo added.(NAN)
