Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed readiness to meet killer herdsmen in the country “fist to fist”.
He made this known in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday morning.
Fani-Kayode, also a former Minister of Culture, made the assertion while condemning killings by Fulani herdsmen, especially last weekend killing of over 200 persons in Barkin Ladi LGA in Plateau State.
He accused the killer herdsmen of nursing an Islamisation agenda over the North Central zone that includes Benue and Plateau, and Taraba in the North East, which are all majority-Christian states.
Fani-Kayode said Christians will not fold their arms and condone what appears to be ethno-religious cleansing in the states.

“I am guided by history and not by sentiment. They say those that refuse to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeating its mistakes. And history teaches us that Turkey, Egypt and Lebanon were once Christian countries until the jihads after which they became Muslim.
“Christians in Nigeria must learn from that sad history. Islamisation, Fulanisation and jihad are real. That is what Boko Haram, the Fulani terrorists and Buhari are hell bent on achieving. That is their objective. Yet they will fail. The Ancient of Days shall see to that.
“One thing I know is this: our God,whose name is Jehova, sits on the throne and the earth is His footstool. He rules in the affairs of men and nothing can resist Him.When the action starts we shall not shy away or be found wanting. And we shall not just be writing and talking.
“We will meet them fist to fist, head to head, face to face and eyeball to eyeball. We shall stand and we shall fight. And in the end, no matter the price we may have to pay or the cost in terms of human suffering,we shall prevail over the barbaric huns and merciless heathans!”
