Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has hailed the appointment of veteran journalist, Bayo Onanuga as a Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Onanuga’s appointment was announced in a Friday statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Like the ex-minister, Onanuga served in the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Organisation.
Commending the appointment in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday, Fani-Kayode emphasised his immense respect for the new presidential aide’s abilities.
“Congratulations to my dear friend, brother and colleague in the struggle Omoba Bayo Onanuga (@aonanuga1956) who has been appointed Special Advisor to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy.
“I have immense respect for Bayo’s abilities coupled with his sense of loyalty, tenacity of purpose and courage.
“I have no doubt that not only will he do a great job as the leading voice in the Presidency but that he will also bring a lot of credibility, experience, zest, zeal, and strength into the battles that lie ahead.
“I thank Mr. President for remembering this great and worthy warrior who gave his all during the presidential campaign.
“With Bayo in the ring things will change for the better very quickly.
“I wish him and his entire team well,” Fani-Kayode said.
