Controversial former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has accused Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi of betraying some key figures in the country in times past.
Fani-Kayode, who took to his verified Twitter handle, made the comment while reacting to a tape that purportedly portrayed Amaechi as insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
Amaechi, who was the Director General of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation in 2015, was recently re-appointed to the position ahead of the 2019 election.
But in an audio tape published by a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, the campaign DG could be heard accusing Buhari of visiting suffering on Nigerians.
“The President is not listening to anybody. He doesn’t care. You can write anything you want. The President doesn’t care. Does he read?” Amaechi was purportedly recorded as saying.
However, Fani-Kayode said it would not be the first time that Amaechi would “betray” a benefactor or political superior.
He accused Amaechi of betraying former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili; former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP; and now President Buhari.
