Metropolitan police have stated that they have arrested a fan who threw a banana on the pitch during the tense derby between Arsenal and Tottenham.
The police also confirmed that it had made as many as 7 arrests in this case.
The incident happened after Gabonese striker Aubameyang scored a goal from the penalty spot putting Arsenal in the lead
The game went on to yield 6 goals with the Gunners scoring 3 in the second half following a first half revival by Tottenham who levelled the score with a goal by Eric Dier before scoring from the penalty spot following a tumble in the box by Tottenham attacker Son Heung Ming

Aubameyanf equalized before Lacazette and Torreira put the Arsenal in the lead and condemned Tottenham to their first defeat following 6 straight wins.
Speaking on the match itself, Arsenal boss Unai Emery said: “They pushed a lot for us,” he told Sky Sports. “In a difficult moment in the first half, we kept calm.
“We spoke in the dressing room and we were having good minutes in the game. [We said] The result is not good, but we can continue in our work and our planning for the game. The supporters are going to push us.
“We were watching Tottenham play at home against Chelsea, they won, with a big, big performance with their supporters. We were speaking about that.”
