Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao has claimed he will like to stay at old Trafford for many years after scoring his first goal for the Premier league giants during the 2-1 victory over Everton on Sunday.
According to reports, the Premier League giants have already paid £6m to Monaco for the season long loan and have the option of paying another £43m should they decide to make the deal permanent.
Even though we are yet to see the best of Falcao, reports claimed that the Colombian star has already agreed personal terms with the club to stay longer.
The player didn’t confirm the deal but did say he wanted to stay at United once his deal is done.
“Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United,” Falcao said to Manchester United’s official website.
The 28-year-old was crucial in the victory over the Toffes on Sunday, scoring the winner after an assist from Angel Di Maria.
“All strikers need goals, and for me there was a little bit ofrelief to score my first goal,” he said.
“I hope to score many in the future. It was amazing that my first goal was at Old Trafford, I enjoyed it with all the fans and I want to say thank you to God, my team mates, all the staff and the coaches.”
Falcao had previously provided two assists since his summer move to Old Trafford but van Gaal admitted he needed a first goal to settle.
“He needed that goal. I talked with him and I told him that he was forcing himself too much to score. He is a player who scores in every match. Now he has his, it will be better after the international break,” the manager said.
