The legal luminary has a suggestion for the President on what is to be done with controversial governor Ayodele Fayose should he refuse to resign.
Falana is of the opinion that a state of emergency should be announced in Ekiti state if Fayose refuses to resign and give up his seat.
Falana said, “Gov. Fayose should be stripped of the immunity he is currently enjoying by declaring state of emergency in Ekiti, then arrest him to face trial for corruption.”
He made this suggestion during an interactive session with some selected students of Nigerian Law School in Abuja on Thursday 7 July, 2016.
Fayose had been protested against a couple of days ago over the allegations levelled against him by the EFCC. Fayose seemed unperturbed though as he was on the streets spending time with the masses of Ado Ekiti.
