Indigenous oil and gas firm, Seplat Energy has urged the public to beware of fake Request for Quote (RFQs) in circulation in the company’s name.
RFQ, also known as invitation for bid (IFB), is a process in which a company solicits select suppliers and contractors to submit price quotes and bids for the chance to fulfill certain tasks or projects.
In a statement published over the weekend, the company said fake RFQs are being issued in the company’s name in an apparent move to hoodwink the public.
The company reiterated that it has nothing to do with the procurement scam and urged the public not to fall for it.
