Police in Tokyo, Japan have on Tuesday arrested a man for accessing an un-named woman’s Facebook account and downloading pictures of her in underwear.
The suspect, 25-year-old Ryosuke Koga, is said to be the first person arrested on such allegations in the country.
Local media quoting Tokyo Metropolitan Police say Koga reportedly logged into the woman’s account on 17 different occasions between January and March.
When police raided the home of the IT firm employee, he was reportedly found to have been in possession of 770 Facebook and iCloud IDs.
Local press say police are investigating how he came by the different IDs.
A police spokesperson says Koga could face up to three years in prison or a fine of up to 1 million yen (8,000 dollars) if convicted.
