The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured intending pilgrims and the general public of its readiness to ensure a seamless conduct of the 2017 Hajj operations.
A statement issued on Friday in Abuja by FAAN’s Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, quoted the organisation’s Managing Director, Mr Saleh Dunoma, as giving the assurance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport while inspecting facilities.
Dunoma disclosed that the 2017 Hajj operations would kick off in Abuja with FlyNas Airline, Azman Airline and Max Air, the three carriers that were licensed to airlift pilgrims from July 31.
He admonished pilgrims to get to the airport early to avoid missing their flights, adding that every requirement aimed at ensuring the safety, security and comfort of pilgrims had been met.
The FAAN boss expressed confidence that the Hajj operations would be successful.(NAN)
