Aston Villa will meet Arsenal in the 2015 FA Cup Final after securing a 2-1 semi final victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
Liverpool were the favourites and despite taking the lead in the first half, they rarely looked comfortable and they got what their performance deserved.
Liverpool went ahead courtesy a Philippe Coutinho goal in the 30th minute but were pegged back by a well taken Christian Benteke goal six minutes after.
Fabian Delph, who was the provider for the equalizer, scored the winner on 56th minute and the team held on to earn their first FA Cup final since 2000.
Aston Villa were outstanding and their horrible season has become one to remember since the arrival of manager, Tim Sherwood.
Arsenal had beaten Reading FC with the same scoreline on Saturday, albeit after extra time, to book their place in the final.
Arsenal would be hoping to retain the trophy they won in 2014 at Wembley Stadium.
Holders Arsenal reached a record 19th FA Cup final after two goals from Alexis Sanchez sealed victory over Reading.
Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, after the game said; “The records show that we are consistent and that is most difficult. I believe that we now need to focus on our next game. We come back here in the final, we have time to prepare and overall the final is a 50/50.
“If we can beat that record we will be very happy. The final is 50/50 so let’s hope we have all our players available to come back in a good shape.”
The FA Cup final holds on Saturday, May 30 at the Wembley Stadium.
