Ezekwesili, Shehu Sani, Apostle Suleman React To Lekki Toll Gate Shooting

2 Min Read

Nigerians protesting against police brutality at the popular Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos were shot like dogs by soldiers Tuesday evening setting off furious reactions on social media.

Before the incident, some persons reportedly removed the security cameras installed at the toll gate and the lights were shut.

A rain of bullets then followed, leaving in its wake bullet-ridden bodies of hapless Nigerians.

Unconfirmed reports say that the soldiers loaded the bodies of dead protesters into trucks and moved them to an unconfirmed location apparently to hide evidence of the incident.

Former Education Minister, Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili; Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani; Apostle Johnson Suleman of the Omega Fire Ministries; among other prominent Nigerians reacted furiously to the incident on Twitter.

Ezekwesili wrote, “Let it be known that I have done as we do within the international community when a Government unleashes terror on their citizens.

“The @un and key countries should not now fail to speak up to save the lives of #EndSARS peaceful young protesters of #PoliceBrutalityInNigeria.”

Sani wrote, “Lekki will be known in history as a paradise drenched in the blood of protesters.”

Apostle Suleman wrote, “God will reply everyone that pulled a trigger today…down to their fourth generation..it wont go unattended to..”
