A former justice of the supreme court of Nigeria, Niki Tobi has died.
The former Justice died in the early of Friday in Abuja.
Niki Tobi was appointed onto the Supreme court in 2002 and he served for 8 years before leaving in 2010 after attaining age 70.
He had retired completely by 2011 over health issues. He later went blind and lost his memory completely.
He was born July 14, 1940 in Esanma in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.
He spent a long time on the bench, but before then he was Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Maiduguri and also Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Services) of the same institution.
He died at the National Hospital, Abuja and his corpse was later moved to the morgue of Garki General Hospital.
