2 Min Read
The phones no longer ring but the blames are still following Goodluck Jonathan.

Mr. Femi Adesina on Friday 22nd January released a signed statement by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari which has warned corrupt officials in the country that they will not be spared if found guilty.

In the statement, President Muhammadu Buhari announced that the former president, Goodluck Jonathan will also face justice if found guilty of corruption practices.

The announcement which is in no doubt connected to the ongoing investigations about stolen and diverted funds by the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki accused of stealing a sum total of $2.1 billion which was originally meant for procurement of arms to fight Boko Haram insurgency

Pa Ayo Fasanmi believed it was only a matter of time before the ex President Goodluck Jonathan was called on to face corruption charges.

The belief however is in light of recent uncovered illegalities involving several top officials who served under the ex President’s administration.

With the heightened tempo of President Buhari’s administration towards fighting corruption, many have since criticised the Presidency on its biased against the former ruling party which also doubles as a strong opposition.

Olisa Metuh, PDP National Publicity Secretary says that the war against corruption by the Buhari led administration has become nothing but a war between All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
