A public policy and development expert, Dr Joe Abah has pulled out as the moderator for a Federal Government-backed youth event after popular musician Falz withdrew as a participant.
The Youth Virtual Town Hall Meeting scheduled for 3pm today (Friday) had been touted as a “youth engagement platform for solutions” as EndSARS protests continue unabated across the nation.
Expected as panelists were the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu; Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare; Police Reforms Advocate, Segun ‘Segalink’ Awosanya; and Falz.
However, Falz on Friday announced his withdrawal from the meeting via Twitter citing deception.
He said, “I will not be on this panel. I was given false information. Plus there is no need for all this please!! The agenda is clear #5for5 #SARSMUSTEND”

Replying Falz’s tweet, Abah, who is a former Director General of the Bureau of Public Sector Reforms, also announced he was pulling out.
“Following @falzthebahdguy’s withdrawal from this event & the absence of more youth voices, I will regrettably no longer be moderating this event.
“I was only ever meant to be the moderator. Nothing else. I suggest that the format for the event be changed to hear more youth voices,” he wrote.
