The embattled Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, earlier today, attended Jumaat prayers with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Baru who is under the magnifying glass over his exposed misgovernance at the NNPC, as a multi-billion dollar fraud allegation has been levied against him by none other than the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, also met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo earlier in the day.
Baru was sighted at the Vice-President’s Wing of the Presidential Villa, and then proceeded to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
Kachikwu met with his boss, President Muhammed Buhari privately for the first time in months after being prevented access by members of the cabal.
The meeting followed the leaked letter he sent to PMB a few months ago which has been gaining a lot of traction among critics of this administration’s corruption war.
After the meeting, Kachikwu refused to talk to members of the press.
