2 Min Read

Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State says his administration is evolving a multi-dimensional approach to revive the state economy.

El-Rufai said this on Friday at the ‘Kaduna State  `Special Day’ at the 11th Abuja International trade Fair, held in Abuja.

According to him, the task of nation building is a collective responsibility and that “critical stakeholders must galvanise efforts together for us to witness the change that we expect to see”.

The governor, who was represented by  Nuhu Buzun,  Permanent Secretary of the State  Ministry of Commerce, said“ with collective support we could make Nigeria great again”.

He added that his administration was “leading a Change Movement expected to permeate all facets of lives in order to strengthen the system of governance for improved service delivery”.

He said the Federal Government and all the states were determined to promote good governance through eradication of corruption and other unwholesome practises that had continued to impede our collective progress and development.

El-Rufai, therefore, called on all and sundry to support the efforts to stamp out corruption in the society.

He listed tax reforms, vocational training, creation of scheme of small business loans and strengthening public private partnership for meaningful development as the factors being used to develop the state.

Others are: providing conducive business environment, promotion of entrepreneurship that would usher in new industries, new jobs opportunities and rehabilitation of infrastructure, among others.

Earlier, the state Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Dr Shehu Adamu, said  the theme of this year’s fair, “Make it In Nigeria’’ was very relevant as it provided an avenue to showcase non-oil products.

Adamu, who was represented by Mu’azu Dantata, Director of Administration of the ministry, thanked the governor for making it possible for the state to attend the fair.(NAN)
