Ahead of the El Clasico on Saturday, Chelsea midfielder and former Barcelona star, Cesc Fabregas has described Barcelona’s attack as the best in the world at the moment.
Fabregas, who was at the Camp Nou for three years, also hopes that his friend Lionel Messi will be fit for the game, Goal reported.
Real Madrid will play Barcelona on Saturday, a game that has come to become one of the most watched in the world.
Barcelona’s three-pronged attack of Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar scored a combined, record-breaking 122 goals last season.
Fabregas said he believed Barcelona will win the game.
According to him, “Barcelona have fantastic players.
“Three in attack decide matches, even though the best of them all is missing at the moment – and that’s Leo Messi.
“But Neymar has taken a step forward and Luis Suarez is… I wish I had played with him at Barcelona because he is a striker with whom I would have had a phenomenal understanding.”
On whether Messi will play the game, Fabregas said: “I don’t know if he will play,” he said. “Let’s hope so, for the good of football and also Barcelona.”
