The Ekiti state government has stated that it will begin the part payment of workers salary from the N1.3bn federal government loan, this week.
The state government revealed that workers in the state are the topmost priority of the Governor Ayodele Fayose’s administration.
This was disclosed by the Ekiti commissioner for Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi.
Ogunsuyi said: “We are going to use the ‘Budget Adjustment Support facility’ to pay backlog of workers salaries.
“That is what it will be mainly used for. It is even not enough to clear the arrears.
“The workers will be paid this week because that is topmost on our priority for now.”
