A second coronavirus patient in Ekiti State has recovered and discharged from the Isolation center by the Ekiti State Government after testing negative twice.
The second patient is said to be a 23-year-old man who was diagnosed with the virus after observing 14 days self isolation right after being exposed to a carrier by reason of his job which required constant visits to the airport.
This was disclosed by the governor of the State, Kayode Fayemi on his official Twitter handle on Friday.
Fayemi tweeted:
“Our second COVID-19 patient tested negative the second time and was discharged from our Infectious Disease Hospital today.
“While thanking our team for a job well done, the job is not finished. Stay home, save lives.”, he advised.
He further disclosed that the inaugural meeting of the Ekiti CoviD 19 Response Committee held its inaugural took place on Thursday.
“Our father, the Grand Patron, Chief Afe Babalola (SAN) set the ball rolling with N100m donation and 800 bags of rice to the Food Bank. We are grateful”.
