Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) combed the country home of the immediate past Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, for hours on Sunday.
Yari has been on the watchlist of the EFCC probe 2017 following allegations that he diverted part of the Paris Club loan refund.
Herald Nigeria gathered that then operatives, numbering about 15, came in buses and patrol vehicles and stormed the house located at Talata Mafara.

Confirming the EFCC raid, the former governor’s media aide, Ibrahim Dosara, noted that they are still waiting for Commission’s next line of action.
On whether the EFCC recovered anything in the house, Dosara said he had no idea.
The Punch, however, reports that, apart from searching ex-governor Yari’s house, the EFCC team had also searched his younger brother Jafaru Yari’s house, as well as that of his closest friend, Sha’aya Mafara.
