The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has reacted to news of the former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode’s allegedly slumping in its custody.
Recall that the EFCC had arrested the former minister of Aviation some days ago after his court trial in Lagos.
Following his arrest, news broke yesterday through Femi Fani-Kayode’s media aide, Jude Ndukwe that his boss had slumped in custody of the EFCC.
In reaction to the claim, the EFCC has issued a statement debunking the widespread news which it claimed contains no iota of truth.
Debunking the claim, the EFCC through its spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said: “There is no truth whatsoever in the dubious and attention-seeking alarm that Fani-Kayode slumped and was revived by EFCC medical personnel.”
“There was nothing like that as the said Fani-Kayode and Obanikoro sat together and enjoyed their jokes at the first round of checks of inmates in EFCC custody on Monday night.”
