The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has declared an associate of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose wanted over connection with an alleged N2 billion deposited into the State Governor’s account.
The Ekiti state Governor’s associate, Abiodun Agbele according to the anti-graft agency received the sum of N1,219,490,000 from the former minister of Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro on behalf of Fayose.
The EFCC said: “Agbele is an associate of Fayose. We are currently looking for him because he has a lot of explanations to make. He held some of the money in trust for Fayose.”
It continued that five Zenith Bank deposit slips showed that N900 million was paid into Fayose and Agbele’s accounts.
