The property was forfeited in 2017 following an order of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

According to the zonal Head of EFCC Lagos, Mohammed Rabo, the gesture was an act of social corporate responsibility by the commission towards the Lagos State Government in its fight against COVID-19.

He told the Lagos state government to call on the commission if more forfeited buildings were needed as isolation centres.

Governor Sanwo-olu thanked the EFCC for the donation and promised to use it judiciously.

“Part of the challenges we have been facing is getting isolation centres for COVID-19 patients. We will go round the facility to see what we can do to improve on it.”

Sanwo-olu said.
