EFCC Arrests Serving Military Personnel alongside Others for Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested a serving military personnel alongside 28 others for alleged internet fraud in the Lekki area of Lagos state.

Lance Corporal Ajayi Kayode with service number NAF18/3732, was arrested alongside the others during a raid by operatives of the EFCC on a residence in Lekki Phase 1, on August 15, after reports from members of the community.

The EFCC reported that the military personnel confessed that he had big shot, internet fraudsters as friends and he was also learning how to be a fraudster when they were apprehended.

The other suspects all said to be part of an organised internet fraud syndicate were arrested alongside their girlfriends who confessed to EFCC officials that their partners were indeed involved in internet fraud.

Phones, laptops and other exotic cars were said to be recovered from the suspects and the anti-graft commission said they would be charged to court soon on charges relating to internet fraud.

Some of the other arrested suspects include;Kalu Emmanue; Hassan Sunday; Odinaka David Okem; Victor Ochiabuito; Christopher Prince; Victor Ologhu; Alex Aka; Miracle Onyekwere; Habeeb Ayomide; Olakunle Ajeigbu, Rasheed Olanrewaju , Salam Hakeem, Adeniran Nurudeen; Opeyemi Ojo Chris; Derrick Moris; Shehu Oluoti; Fuad Akinbayo; Babatunde Idowu; Uzo Igwe Nathaniel; Debowale Adedoyin; Shegun Emmanuel; Godswill Maduchem; Samson Kazeem; Oluwatobi Oluwatoba, Olaitan Ajao and Oyindamola Kareem.”
